How much can you do on 1gb a month cap?

Hi, I've moved to a friends place for awhile and I was wondering how much browsing you can do with a 1gb a month internet cap?

At home I usually have an unlimited cap, so I'm not really certain what I can do.
I really don't want to go over the 1gb cap because this isn't my house.

I know I can't do much (if any) downloading but I'm wondering if some sites use up more bandwidth?
I like to use youtube and gaiaonline but if they're to heavy I'd be okay just using the internet for study.

Also if anyone has any tips on keeping your usage down it'd be appreciated.

I'm having internet connection/skype issues?

I like to use skype to have video chats with friends, it worked perfectly fine on my computer a month ago. now however, if I start skype my computer starts having connection issues; it will disconnect and reconnect over and over again, never staying online long enough to start my webcam.
is there anything I can do to stop it from disconnecting?

I'm currently using a HP laptop with a wireless DSL connection

Everywhere, all over the internet, all you see is Justin Bieber, Bieber this, Bieber that! It's insane. He's even become an internet Meme, and he's all over 4chan.

I remember when everyone (women in particular) would go head over heels for Micheal Jackson in the 80's and 90's. My mom and siblings were huge fangirls of the guy.

Now, the 21's Century after his death, Justin Bieber just popped out of no where and dominated everything.

Lol, I'm not really jealous or anything (or maybe I am :D?). But dang, its just really disturbing how 1 guy could make more than all of America talk about him every second.

im having a big problem with my computer?

internet explorer opens briefly and closes in windows vista(gateway) i have tried help and support and nothing has worked,all of my windows updates are up to date,i have no network and diagnostics problems,my computer has no problem with memory loss,i have shut my computer down,restarted it and when my start up menu appears,i click on internet explorer and it opens for a brief second and closes,can someone please help me out with this problem?

Can I use a wireless router to connect to an established network?

My computers and PS3 connect to the internet via a wireless network. I have a wireless modem (2Wire), and the first computer is hardwired to that. My main computer and PS3 connect via LAN adapters.

Now I'm trying to connect another computer. I have a wireless router hooked up to the last computer. The router is receiving the signal of the network, and an ethernet cable is running from the router to the new computer. The problem is that I am not even given the option to connect to my 2Wire modem. In other words, I cannot view the wireless networks in the area on the new computer.

Am I missing something? Is this possible to do? If not, why is the router able to pick up the signal? I know I could just get another LAN adapter, but I'm trying to work around doing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to secure our wireless connection against sneaky neighbours?

Tried asking our internet providers the same question, but it seems to confuse them as much as it does us! We have a problem with a sneaky neighbour who keeps stealing our connection & downloading so much our bandwidth keeps getting capped & we have to deal with snailspeed internet (which shouuld be at 10mb!). Personally I'm curious how someone can find 100gb worth of stuff to download, he must have a LOT of time on his hands!

Ok, so we already have it set to WPA, and tried the MAC thing, but for some reason my boyfriend couldn't use his Xbox Live (any ideas on that?) so after a day we had to turn it off (we use the box to watch movies, as well as gaming)... didn't seem to have any problems for the day it was on, but the guy might have gone for some fresh air or something, who knows.

Is there anything else we can do to secure our connection, is MAC the only way? If so, how can we get the Xbox on there too? Alsooo, does anyone know how to completely hide our SSID? Not sure where to look for that one.... Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

OK! So not too long ago, I decided to download Firefox, and it was a whole lot better than IE. But I go to some sites, and it will say "network has been reset," then I remebered that I had Google Chrome on another computer and it was faster, but something went wrong with the modem. I'm downloading Google Chrome now, but it's from downloads.com, which only had the installer. How big is the browser file?

BTW: Why is Google Chrome faster than Internet Explorer and Firefox?
I don't think that link supports your answer that much, because it only talked about malware protection, plus malware gotten to this computer even before I got Firefox, actually 2 times. Internet Explorer wasn't even functional on my computer, because a lot of times, it will say "Not Responding." At last note, I'm not the only one who disagrees. I just wanted to point that out, I didn't mean anything by it. By the way, I meant the browser itself.

1 - Keep on charge ALL times
2 - Fix charger if it's not charging the laptop
3 - NO Internet Explorer (virus are mostly likely to attack there, I'm told) USE FIREFOX!
4 - KNOW where charger is at ALL times

Years of hit after hit, has led me to be socially inept. What do I do?

It will be long, because there are a lot of things that I feel have contributed to the way I am now.

1) My mother was/is a recluse, and because of that, while I lived with her (till I was 14), she did not let me do anything but go to school (she drove me) and come home. I couldn't play baseball because she wouldn't take me, I couldn't go to friends houses because she wouldn't let me. There was never a reason to it, besides the fact that she was a recluse and wanted me to be the same way.
2) I remember, one day, one of the girls in my middle school class, put a "i like you not" in my desk. I didn't see it, and it was the day of the parent teacher conference. My mother found it in my desk, and made fun of me for it. She put it on the fridge, and made me feel like I did something wrong.

- I moved out of my moms house to stay with my father when I was 14.

3) My father immediately made it clear he didn't want me. Claiming, "I don't have the time to deal with you". He was more focused on himself (still is) than me. He is a wealthy man, and did nothing to "raise" me, but provide me with a room. In fact, he refused to take the time to buy me a bed, so for at least 2 years, I slept on the carpet floor. I had to walk to the high school on my own to register myself. I was 14. He did nothing but throw money at me and demand I wasn't home when he was. (He would constantly bring home dates).

At this point, because of the way my mother raised me, I was terrible in social situations. I had no practice. I had one friend in my freshmen year in high school, and the only thing I remember about him, relating to the only girl I had ever asked out in high school. It was because of my friend saying "just do it". I still remember her face, clearly thinking I was a joke. She said no. That was the year before I moved in with my father. I kept in contact with my friend for a little while over the internet. The thing I remember was, the girl I had asked out, asked him for his camera, and took naked pictures of herself and sent them to him. He got all the girls. I was clearly the weird friend. I was depressed, and almost killed myself.

Now at this new high school, (sophmore year), a few people befriended me, but then turned out to just do it as a joke. I made one friend over the entire next 3 years in that new high school, it was a girl. I some how, got her to go out with me. She was my first kiss. A day or so after that, she called me, and said "i am sorry" and long story short, one of those guys who "Befriended me", went up to the girl, asked her out, and did everything with her, just to make me look stupid and bad. He succeeded. She apologized to me, after realizing why the other guy did what he did. I immediately hung up and never talked to her again. I remember walking by her in the hall ways, and she would try to talk to me, and I couldn't look at her, or say a word. I even remember her crying because I wouldn't even talk to her. I met her my sophomore year in high school. I didn't talk to another person at that school in any context but something to do with class ever since. All I did was study, praying I could get away from those people, my father and mother.

I got into a out of state college, (Ohio state) with a full ride. My father didn't even come to my graduation. My mother wouldn't leave to make the 4 hour long drive. The only person who came was my brother.

At college, I kind of felt like I could start over, and it worked. I made a few friends and had one girl friend. For some reason, (Probably lack of social training), I screwed it up with the girl by saying something that pissed her off, and I ended up just drifting apart from the friends. I remember on several occasions they would jokingly tell me "we thought you died" because for months at a time, I wouldn't leave me room for anything but class and I ate nothing but chips in my room.

I transferred from Ohio state to go to USC (this time I had to pay), and didn't talk to a single person for the entire time I was there. I went 2 years without getting a single persons phone number. The only person I ever called was my brother. I gained around 70 pounds over that time, and did nothing but study and eat.

I took the last year off, and lost all the weight. I also made it into medical school, and that is were I am now. A few people here have kind of befriended me, but I already feel myself drifting apart.

I know, years of bad/neglectful parents and bad memories of every friend I ever made had led me to be really socially inept. I fear I am either going to just go back to being antisocial, or piss these people off to the point where I don't have a choice but to be antisocial.

How can I get over 22 years of terrible background.

I have Windows 7 on my laptop and it comes with Windows Media Center. In the Media center, there is a radio. When you click on the radio though, it says "To listen to FM Radio, you must first install a radio tuner". I have searched all over the internet and still cannot find one. Can someone please help me? I'm thinking of buying an amazon kindle but I would like to know something, I know it has WiFi so that you can download books off of the Amazon website but can you use it for browsing the net? And if so, to what extent? For example could it be used to watch a movie or is it similar to the kind of internet you get with a phone? And I know you can buy them with built in free 3G, and you can use it abroad but is it free abroad? Thanks :)
